Candie Chase, Membership Chairperson
So, they had a plan…well, we all know that things don’t always go as planned. That’s the story of National ALA and A.L.A.M.I.S. It didn’t all go as planned. But they’ve worked out all the updates and snags, except for a few minor details. Please watch the how-to videos and learn about the updates. Soon, we’ll be using it like pros.
This year’s membership theme will focus on being strong, kind, and loving. Strong Like a Polar Bear, Kind Like a Purple Heart, Bound Together by Love
The Districts (Polar Bears) and the Units (consisting of Cubs) will work diligently to increase and retain their members. In addition to the usual Department awards, there will be two additional opportunities to earn awards for the Polar Bears and Cubs with the highest percentage of goal 30 days before Department Convention. So, get those Polar Bears and Cubs on the move! Unit goal objectives will be computed soon, and those numbers will be sent to the districts.
A “Virtual Schools of Instruction Roll-Out” is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th. The school will include Americanism, Junior Activities, VA&R and Membership. Stay tuned for more details.
The updated membership guide will be published on the Department’s website and will contain the complete list of Department and National awards, along with more detailed membership information.
Membership is everyone’s responsibility. Growing membership starts with everyone. Membership success is a shared responsibility: everyone recruits, everyone retains, and Membership thrives when everyone participates.
