Shannon Werner, Executive Director, Secretary & Treasurer
We are just getting back to work after attending the Department Fall Conference in Battle Creek, Michigan. I hope you were able to join us. It was such a great learning and networking opportunity with American Legion Auxiliary members from across the state. If you could not attend, try to connect with someone within your unit or district who was in attendance. They just may be able to provide you with information you missed.
New member applications can now be entered in ALAMIS or sent to headquarters to be processed. Make sure all fields are completed, questions answered, form(s) signed and all information provided. Be sure to double check your arithmetic and confirm the check is made out correctly. These are the main reasons that transmittals and checks are returned. Remember, checks should be payable to the ALA Department of Michigan.
The ALAMIS access renewal period begins on November 1, 2025 and continues through January 1, 2026. Send in your completed application with a check for your access level-please do not combine it with anything else. If we do not receive a renewal, you will lose your access to ALAMIS in mid-January (this process is completed by National so we do not have an exact date).
Remember, most of your questions can be answered by visiting the ALA Department of Michigan website at www.michalaux.org or ALA National’s website at www.legion-aux.org.
