Past Presidents Parley: March 2026

Mary Dubay, Department Chairman

A Past President’s Parley is a group of members of an organization who have held the office of President in their Unit, District, or Department. They are mentors. They can pass on valuable insights, knowledge and best practices. They should encourage members to try new ideas and remind others not to criticize if they fail. If we constantly criticize, we fail as an organization and lose our members.

Past Presidents have a wealth of knowledge. They are willing to share and, if they don’t know the answer, they will find out for you or direct you to the proper person.

Does your Unit or District have a Past President’s Parley? Do you recognize your Past Presidents? Some Units and Districts do, and some don’t. My District recognizes our Past Presidents at every meeting and honors them once a year at a meeting. There is an award for the best Parley-written report, and I hope to receive many.

Remember that your Past Presidents are here to help you. You only need to ask.
