What is a membership report?
The American Legion Auxiliary is made up of members from around the state. At the grassroots level, members join a Unit; several Units in a geographical area comprise a District, and several Districts comprise the Department (state). The membership report tracks how each unit is progressing during the year. For purposes of awards and incentives for membership, the period between July 1 and June 30 of the following year is used.
Membership reports are typically published weekly. However, it’s important to note that at the start of a new membership year, reports may not be published until September or later, as the process of renewing current members commences.
At the department convention each year, the District with the highest membership percentage will be seated closest to the stage; others will be seated behind and to the side, depending on the convention’s layout.
